Balance Your Mind, Body, and Soul.
Massage relieves aches, loosens muscles, releases tension. I practice following styles:
MOCUSHI treatment: I use Moxa (mug-wort) to warm regions with the intention of stimulating circulation and inducing a smoother flow of blood and qi, followed by a sliding cupping technique for myofacial release, a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain, this aims to relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation. I end the session with a mixture of shiatsu and deep pressure.

Deep tissue / Shiatsu: Deep tissue affects the sub-layer of musculature and fascia to help with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis. I combine Shiatsu with some deep tissue work. Shiatsu is a finger-pressure technique developed in Japan, utilizing traditional acupuncture points. Shiatsu unblocks the flow of life energy and restores balance in the meridians and organs in order to promote self-healing. I apply pressure with my fingers, thumbs, palms, elbows, or knees to specific zones along your energy meridians. Shiatsu brings a sense of relaxation while stimulating blood and lymphatic flow. The benefits include pain relief and a strengthening of the body’s resistance to disease and disorder.

Zen Shiatsu: Shizuto Masunanga founded Zen Shiatsu. unfortunately he died at the young age of 56 in 1981. Zen Shiatsu is a beautiful softer style of Shiatsu. We start the session seated on a stool with your neck, head, and shoulder, while your feet are resting and detoxing on a warm Himalayan salt foot block for about 10min. After that we continue our work on the floor with deep pressure and stretches your anterior and posterior body. Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST): a gentle, noninvasive form of bodywork that addresses the bones of the head, spinal column and sacrum. Cranial sacral therapy to me is a form of meditation. I'm holding space for your body to heal itself. together we will find stillness in what is and guide your body through trauma release. My hands or fingers will be resting on you for the most part with only 5 grams of pressure.
Western cupping: a very profound and potent form of alternative medicine in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction. The suction and sliding of the cups are used to loosen up facial adhesion, and it mobilizes blood flow to promote the healing of a broad range of medical ailments. Cupping can leave marks that will last up to 7 days.
Caution: If you are using blood thinners, cupping can be harmful. Please always be transparent with your medical history.
Fun fact: Cupping therapy dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. One of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, the Ebers Papyrus, describes how the ancient Egyptians were using cupping therapy in 1,550 B.C.
