Ciao!

My name is Rebecca

Some things just need a little room, a guided, safe place to feel into what is true for you.

This work meets you where you are. Some people come with one specific question, a relationship, a decision, a stuck point, and want one to three sessions to explore it. Others are ready for something longer: an ongoing space to work through patterns and shape real change over time.

Neither is a lesser version of the other.

One Question at a Time.

Maybe you keep ending up in relationships that won’t work, and you are starting to wonder if the pattern is them or you.

Maybe you’ve been in a relationship for several years, and you can’t say “will you marry me” out loud, not because marriage is the answer, but because you’ve never let yourself ask what you actually want.

Maybe it’s 2am and you’re still awake, mind racing, body tense, no idea why you can’t just land.

Maybe you are stuck in a job, or stuck not starting the thing that actually excites you.

Maybe “not good enough” has been running quietly in the background for longer than you can trace.

You don’t need to overhaul your life to sit with one of these. You need one honest hour, with your body, asking the right questions and listening to its answers. Because trust me, the answers sit in the space between the overthinking mind.

What I've seen, in the room

A husband once told me his wife was drowning: two young kids, a business she'd just started, and a job she still hadn't left, one she said she hated. Three days after one session, she quit. I won't take credit for that decision, it was hers, and it had likely been building for months, whether she let herself see it or not. Something in that hour was just enough to move it.

A client came in mid-divorce, in the middle of moving, and had just learned the company they worked for was changing hands. Two options: take it over, or start again somewhere else as an employee. They walked in leaning toward taking over, they'd already run the numbers on the investment, the time, the risk. Twenty minutes in, they started laughing. "I don't want the responsibility," they said. "I want ease." They hadn't known that was true until they heard themselves say it.

A client once described their partner pulling away during intimacy. As they spoke, I watched their own body do exactly that: head turning away, torso leaning back. In their mind, this was a story about their partner. When I reflected back what their body had just done while they said it, something shifted. They realized intimacy had been dangerous for them too, all along, and were able to take accountability for their own part in it.

I’ll say this plainly: I don’t have my whole life figured out either. Nobody does. What I've built, over three decades of working with people, is the ability to read what your body is already telling you and ask the right question. You’re not looking for someone with all the answers. You are looking for someone who knows how to help you find your own.

Ongoing Coaching

Maybe you feel stuck in your relationships, your work, your creativity, your purpose, or your connection with yourself (really it all comes back to the connection with yourself). Somatic coaching, or mind body coaching, is an invitation to explore these questions through the wisdom of your body, not just the mind and the stories we tell ourselves, but the sensations and patterns underneath them.

Together, we uncover what’s asking for your attention, and build small, sustainable steps toward real change.

What if we stopped labeling emotions as good or bad?

Imagine an older woman sitting on the beach. Her gray hair is pinned in a bun, she is wearing a yellow cardigan with a green silk scarf, and she is painting the sunset.

She has a box of 50 crayons in front of her, but she only uses two colors.

Can she capture the sunset?

What if we imagined every emotion was a color?

What if joy, sadness, anger, fear, grief, longing, tenderness, shame, uncertainty, awe … you get the point :) were all colors available to create the full experience of your life?

What happens when we only allow ourselves to experience certain colors and reject others?

Instead of labeling emotions as good or bad, what if we understood that every emotion has a purpose? That every color is needed to create the full picture.

Somatic coaching is an invitation to explore the colors you may have learned to push away and reconnect with the full palette of your human experience.

Things to know

All sessions are online. For those local to Marin, sessions can be combined with bodywork to deepen the relationship between awareness and the physical body. Both online and in-person sessions offer the same depth of exploration.

Is this a good fit for you?

This work asks you to be present with sensation, emotion, and whatever surfaces, so it’s worth a moment of honesty before you book.

  • A good fit: You’re navigating a specific question, relationship, transition, or a stuck point, and you’re generally steady in day-to-day life.

  • Let’s talk first: you’re managing something like anxiety, depression, grief, or a major life disruption, and want to make sure this is the right container before diving in. A short call first helps us both find out.

  • Not a fit right now: you’re in active crisis, currently experiencing psychosis, or dealing with a severe untreated psychiatric condition. Please reach out to a licensed therapist or mental health professional first, or if you experience an emergency, please call 911 in the United States.
